Counselling Cell

Students with personal problems or financial difficulties are given guidance and counselling by a team of experienced faculty.
 
EDP
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell offers further professional training and instructions to students to promote entrepreneurial initiatives.
 
PTA
The Parent-Teacher Association of the college functions under an Executive Committee and periodical meetings are held. This facilitates fruitful interaction between the parents and the institution for the betterment of students as well as enabling proactive measures, for further improvements. Suggestions are received and implemented effectively, to the satisfaction of both.
 
IQAC

In the post accreditation period, as per the guidelines of NAAC, an Internal Quality Assurance Cell was established with a view to sustain and enhance the quality of education in the institution. The Governing Body of IQAC comprises the Principal (as Chair Person), representative members from each department and a coordinator. The members of IQAC meet on a specified day in a month to discuss the developments and improvements in the functioning of the institution. The IQAC also publishes an annual newsletter to acquaint readers with the latest developments.
 
College Union

The College Union election is held in the beginning of every academic year to elect the President, Vice-President, General Secretary and Secretaries for the following Associations / extension activities:

The college inculcates the spirit of sportsmanship, self-confidence, sense of achievement and fortitude in times of failure, by imparting physical education. Compulsory games and physical fitness tests are conducted and grades awarded to the U.G students

Students are encouraged to participate in district, state and national level athletic meets and games such as volleyball, basketball, football, tennis and table tennis. Players represent the Bharathiar University teams at the zonal and national level tournaments as well.
 
National Cadet Corps
The NCC Unit is the pride of the college. Cadets have regularly participated in the Republic Day Parade and in the Prime Minister’s Rally held at New Delhi. Under the Youth Exchange Programme, Cadets have visited England, Canada, Singapore, etc. Air Wing cadets have distinguished themselves in gliding. Cadets also undergo adventure training like mountaineering, rock-climbing, para-sailing and trekking. Some of them have won gold and silver medals at the state –level shooting and aero-modelling competitions.
 
NSS and Youth Red Cross
The NSS students have been rendering creditable service by adopting backward villages, conducting adult literacy classes, eye camps, veterinary camps, blood donation programmes, AIDS Awareness activities, ‘Keep the City Clean’ (Project Parishuddam) drives, anti-plastic campaigns, etc. Cultural activities were organized for the physically and mentally handicapped children and orphans in Coimbatore. Two units of the Youth Red Cross, with 200 members and one counsellor function effectively. The members render humane services in old age homes, orphanages and hospitals. They represent the district in various awareness campaigns. Along with the NSS Volunteers, the Youth Red Cross members donate blood regularly for the emergency operations conducted at K.G., Kuppuswamy Naidu and Ramakrishna Hospitals.
